To follow are a few comics about the Occupy Wall Street Protests. We had a rather nice one here in Boulder today with around 500 participants. My son and I partook in the march down Pearl Street for a while just because we happened to be there anyway. My son is a recent architecture degreed graduate who's come back home to live while trying to find a new direction, by the way. He has many sad stories about what talented, smart friends of his are doing right now, many living back at home with their parents.
The protest felt peaceful, fun, and energized. Many, many cars honked and some yelled out windows with approval. Police officers on bicycles in groups of three sat watching on various corners. There were drums and flags and many signs and a few phrases were shouted out from the protesters from time to time. My son's shout-out was "vote with your dollar!" It was a beautiful weather day and a historical but peaceful and natural feeling event. (Cartoon source: GoComics.)
