so, why so few sheep per sq km in the US, which seems to lead in so many other ag catagories?
We like cattle for their efficiency of production, and our sheep population has been declining for decades.
sheep must have something going for them, otherwise there wouldn't be so many elsewhere around the globe...it certainly isn't cultural; look at the density in climate equivalent parts of Australia and in the UK..
Have watched over sheep one winter for rent, I found them extremely dense.
