A Canadian Editorial on What's Wrong with the United States

I'm traveling in Canada this week and picked up a newspaper with an outstanding front page opinion article by Conrad Black. It put together much of what's wrong with the U.S.A. with many highly quotable lines. I'll give a sampling of two of them and then provide you with a link so that you can read it for yourself. In my view, it's a MUST-READ.

"The United States is blundering through its fourth consecutive failed presidency, and the economic apocalypse that is about to occur may be the only way, since decades of less soul-shaking opportunities have been squandered, of restoring America and its headship of state, to the practical and moral strength of former times."

"And there must be profound reform of the competing public-policy shambles of justice, education, immigration, environment, health care and the incandescent scandal of corrupt campaign-funding and congressional vote-buying."
