Her sister Marjie is with a flock of turkeys. My grandfather was Elmer Rogers. Dorothy's father, T. J. (Punk) Swiggum, had been the "hired man" on the farm in the late 1930s, His wife Pearl was my grandmother Olla's niece. When my grandfather retired from farming in 1940 or 1941, the Swiggums rented the farm. Dorothy was about five years old, and her sister Marjie was very young.
